Welcome to Scott Cecil's State Farm office. We operate two offices that serve southern Missouri and northern Arkansas. We are located at 151 E Walnut in Thayer, Missouri and 301 Leroux Ste. A in Doniphan, Missouri. I have been a State Farm agent since 2003. Prior to becoming an agent I worked as an underwriter in State Farm's Auto Operations department in Columbia, Missouri for five years.

I was born and raised in Columbia, Missouri. I fell in love with the rivers, lakes, and mountains of the Ozarks while traveling with friends during college. After graduating from the University of Missouri- Columbia with a degree in Business Administration in 1993, I worked in retail for 5 years. While working in Denver, Colorado, I sat down for an insurance review with my State Farm agent. I was explaining to him how I liked Colorado but always hoped to end up back in southern Missouri in the areas I had visited in college. He discussed the possibility of becoming a State Farm agent. I quit my job and moved back to Missouri to work for State Farm. The rest is history.

I live in Thayer, Missouri. I have two amazing daughters. We enjoy traveling, canoeing, and hiking. I also enjoy riding around the country on my motorcycle with a group of fellow agents. I am very active in the community. I have been the President of the Chamber of Commerce in Thayer, MO since 2014 and have been very involved in numerous projects involving economic development and community improvement.

I have been blessed to have amazing team members who have been with me since I started my agency in 2003. Marva Caldwell and Elsie Herbold have been in my Thayer office and Sherry Kirk has been serving customers in our Doniphan office since 2003. We all strive to provide excellent customer service to our customers.
